Nitrate Sensor User Guide
Important: Before unboxing
Always grasp and handle the probe by its body;
Never hold, suspend, or pull the probe by the communication cable;
Do not remove the probe from the ground by pulling on the communication cable.
First steps to start using the nitrate sensor after unboxing
1 - Initialisation
Step 1: Plug nitrate sensor into port 1
Step 2: Place sensor into distilled water
Step 3: Using the bluetooth tool on the mobile app (Menu → Devices → Connect bluetooth). Send the following command using Manual input:
1 – Fill sensor command:
//For a sensor on port 1. Fill for 25 minutes
snhpump 1 1 15000 15000 0
2 -Trig a recirculation:
//For a sensor on port 1. Recirculate for 1 minute
snhpump 1 2 600 600 0
3 – Fill sensor again to make sure no gases are left in the chamber:
//For a sensor on port 1. Fill for 3 minutes
snhpump 1 1 1800 1800 0
4 – Trig a measurement. Using the bluetooth tool on the mobile app, press Reboot
Step 4: Call Hortau to validate calibration
2 - Sensor installation
Place the sensor the most vertically possible in the soil. If the sensor is placed at an angle, make sure the extraction tube is facing upward.
